Please take this once a year opportunity to sponsor and support the 27th Annual World Bodysurfing Championships which will be held in Oceanside, California on August 16th and 17th, 2003.

Sponsors will receive authorization to operate a sales/display booth on the prime, high traffic beach area next to the Oceanside pier
during the contest.

Advertisement in the North County Times. The North County Times’ daily circulation is approximately 90,000 local affluent
households.

• On-Site Banners
Your company’s banner displaying your name/logo will be prominently displayed along the Oceanside Pier railings throughout both
days of the event.

• Public Address Announcements
During the event, the contest announcers will frequently identify and thank sponsors with your desired promotional
slogans.

• Bulletin Board Advertisement
Your company’s name/logo will also be displayed on contest bulletin boards which post heat schedules and contest
results (these bulletin boards are closely monitored by contestants and spectators).

• Internet Advertisement
The contest website: worldbodysurfing.org will include your sponsorship information. If desired, your company name and logo (as well as a link to your company’s web address) will be added to the World Bodysurfing Championship’s website.

• Application Advertisement
Sponsor logo information will be included in contest application materials, if sponsorship is confirmed prior to June
15th, 2003.

We'll also be happy to consider any additional special promotional/advertisement ideas that your company may desire. For example, we may accept some of your products as prizes in lieu of part or all of
your sponsor fee. In this way not only are your cash requirements reduced, but you're guaranteed greater exposure for your product.
As you probably know, bodysurfing is an exciting and growing
sport where the surfer rides an ocean wave without the assistance of a board. However, unlike surfing or bodyboarding, where a surfer lays and/or stands upon a board, in bodysurfing the surfer uses his
or her body itself (often with the assistance of fins and/or hand devices) to ride the wave. The absence of a board gives the bodysurfer the feeling of being part of the wave and also allows the

2003 is the World Bodysurfing Championships’ 27th consecutive year in Oceanside, California. The event was initially conceived, supported and promoted by the City of Oceanside and the North County
Times. It is the largest and most prestigious competition of its kind. In past years the contest has drawn approximately 350-400 competitors and about 5000 spectators in addition to various media
coverage. However, we are working to substantially increase these numbers.
Both the sport and the Championships are very family oriented and are enjoyed by people of all ages. For example,
competition age brackets range from 12 years of age up to the 65 years and over division. Bodysurfing is popular with lifeguards, the junior lifeguards, swimmers, ocean and beach enthusiasts and people
in all types of careers (for example, numerous doctors, nurses, lawyers, engineers, business people, students and scientists). Moreover, some entrants come from as far away as Hawaii, Austrailia and
Europe to participate in this, the premiere world championship event of the sport.
Thus, sponsorship of our contest will provide your company with a uniquely valuable opportunity to promote its
products or services.
